||Shawn Stevens Photographic Exhibition
Exhibition opened Saturday 3rd December and will run through till end of January 2017. We invite you to come and view this unique photographic exhibition in the Harold Marsh gallery at our Albertland Heritage Centre, Library Plaza, Wellsford.
Back in 1998 Shawn was involved in a late night road accident that cost him the use of his legs.
It took two years of medical treatment before Shawn could return home. He is paralysed from the waist down and still suffers from debilitating bouts of pain. Shawn found art and then photography helped him deal with the psychological trauma from the accident.
Shawn resides at Tapora, on the Kaipara, where he delightfully captures the many natural moods of his local environment.
We are delighted to bring you a selection of Shawn’s works, many of which will be available for purchase during the duration of this exhibition.
