Please note: In accordance with preferences chosen on your registration form, we will compile your timetable of activities. This information will be found when you collect your registration pack on arrival (we will endeavour to advise you of your timetable after registrations close on December 20th). Please be aware that we may experience timetabling difficulties with the activities you have chosen, however, we will endeavour to meet your preferences as much as we possibly can. Your flexibility in this regard will be appreciated.
Can be ordered for the Friday and Saturday (should you not be attending the luncheon on the Saturday). The packed lunch will consist of a roll, biscuit, piece of fruit and small drink. The choice for the roll is either: beef, ham, tuna, salami, or vegetarian. Please indicate preference on the attached order form.
Please note that the Matakohe Museum Gumdiggers Cafe will be open for afternoon tea on the Friday and lunch on the Saturday.
Confirm your arrival and collect your registration pack at the Albertland Museum Heritage Centre in Wellsford Thursday 5th April from noon until 6.00 pm. Registrations continue Friday morning 6th April from 8.30am at the Port Albert Domain. Please ensure you have completed your registration before 10.00am. This is to ensure that everyone is seated ready for the opening ceremony commencement at 10.30am.
It is essential to note that in order to embark and disembark off the charter boats a ladder at the Port Albert wharf will need to be negotiated subject to the level of the tide at the time of the scheduled trips. Therefore attendees booking these trips need to be fit and able to negotiate the ladder and must wear appropriate clothing and flat shoes. There will be live commentary on each boat. A picture of one of the charter boats (the Shamrock II) is shown. Tour destination is along the Oruawharo River and the trip will take approximately 2-2.5 hours.
Tour buses will depart for Matakohe from Port Albert Domain on Friday and from the Te Hana Cultural Centre on Saturday. Your registration for this activity includes bus fare and entry to the Kauri Museum. The Kauri Museum Gum diggers Cafe will be open for afternoon tea on Friday and lunch on Saturday.
Live commentary and a tour booklet will be supplied on each of the local coach trip. Coach trips will provide you with an overview of the historical aspects and sites on the respective routes. Coaches will not be stopping at each historical site; you may wish to return to these sites at your own pace later. Please note, on Friday coaches will depart from Port Albert Domain, and on Saturday coaches will depart from the Te Hana Cultural Centre.
Packed lunches are highly recommended for your Boat and Coach trips on the Friday and are also available on the Saturday should you not be attending the luncheon.
Based on the Lantern shows of past, with modern assistance! The Albertlanders story is educational and entertaining for the whole family. The show runs for just under an hour. A light finger food buffet will be served after each show and a cash bar will be available. A DVD of the show will be available for purchase and can be pre-ordered via the Merchandising Flyer available shortly. Please note those on bus and boat trips on Friday will not be able to attend the 2pm show.
As per the registration form this includes a powhiri, lunch, re-enactment of arrival of settlers and cultural show. Please note that the children's price for the lunch is for children between the ages of 5 to 12. A cash bar will be open for refreshments. Powhiri commences at 11.30am.

Dance the night away to a live band. For those attending the dinner and cultural show beforehand there is no extra charge. If you are attending the dance only there is a separate charge of $20.00 per person. Dance commences at 8.30pm.
A Remembrance Service will begin the day at 10.00am at the Port Albert Hall. A launch regatta will be taking place at Port Albert wharf commencing 11am and running till around 3.00 pm.
From noon onwards, at the Port Albert Domain, an old time Country Fair and Sports Day with numerous events including sporting and kids activities, food stalls, vendors and craft stalls. Sunday will be a great day for families to get together, make the most of photo opportunities, enjoy meeting old friends, and relaxing to wind up the three day programme. Coach and boat trips will not be operating this day.
Merchandising such as caps, t-shirts, pens etc will be available for purchase online at www.albertland.co.nz prior to the event and will also be available on the Sunday at the Domain. Orders will also be taken for copies of the Multimedia Show DVD.
